New Outdoor Learning for The Grange Centre

The Grange Centre were planning to build the new facilities, which will provide more flexible, comfortable and eco-friendly learning spaces for their Skills for Life programme.

Our initial plan was to use the lovely interviewee's response as a voice over for the animation, which would convey the intuitive theme in a short time. But unfortunately the weather was not ideal , the sound of the wind howling in the background and people speaking sound as well, so it was not used.

However, we think the interviewee's response is valuable, as Coco asked him: "Do you enjoy being here?" He replied "Yes, I like Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday", which is a very sweet answer. And that inspired us to show the workshop (which also meaningful to them) by collage the character through their art works.

We tried out six different versions of the character, taking into the consideration a number of factors, such as how the character looked which might affect the visual communication, and finally decided on this little tomato-headed cutie.

To promote the grange's forthcoming outdoor learning space, the buildings are being constructed in a gardening way, and the character's watering action is a metaphor for the contribution of donors - a heart-warming action to attract donations.
